What is your experience as an agent  with thermal imaging as part of home inspection?

What I found online was very intriguing.  David Valley is all over the Internet, has Better Business Bureau emblem among others.  Then there are the Energy Doctors.  The online displays of what they do and what they do with the information they obtain are very interesting.  On the one hand, it can cause sellers a lot of heartache, but it can also save them money in pinpointing the issue.

I don't have it in front of me, but the Boston Globe had a story about the Cape Cod home insurance crisis.  It seems that the companies that insure home insurance companies have done computer models on expected storm activity in the next year.  They want to raise the rates 25% now.  Apparently they raised the rate last year 25% as well.  Some insurance companies have pulled out of the Cape completely.  Traveling recently I talked to a woman who was looking at Cape properties for retirement...I mentioned the insurance crisis and she didn't know anything about it...probably because our chat was in the San Francisco airport!

I read the Salem paper every day.  It covers about half a dozen towns including Danvers, Peabody, Middleton.  Since I started taking the paper about a year ago, the numbers of legal ads about foreclosure actions have vastly increased.  Many of the properties in question are condos. Property values are lower up here than Lexington but then the first time buyers are not as well fixed either.  It is very sad and it is happening to many people who have been taken advantage of...

 

Let's talk about real estate!  There are so many issues that always come up no matter how society and business practice has changed during my, ahem, lengthy career.  But there are also issues that are newer and pertain to this post-Boomer technology generation.  I am interested in what other people, who have been real estate sales for a long time, think.....
